Cancelled - Bodyweight Strength Class with Case Cortez

** Due to the Western Days festival the Bodyweight Strength class for Thursday, Sept. 26 is cancelled. **

Weekly, free exercise classes are held in Wayne Ferguson Plaza, 150 W. Church Street, in Old Town Lewisville. There is no class size limitations or reservations needed to attend.

  • Wednesday, 6 p.m.: Yoga in the Plaza by Blue Anjou Yoga Studio - These classes are open to all yoga levels. Attendees need to bring their own yoga mat, or blanket, towel, and water. One hour class time
  • Thursday 6:15 p.m.: Bodyweight Strength Class with Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Case Cortez. Invigorating bodyweight workout that will elevate your energy and elevate your day. Bring a fitness mat, towel, and water. No weights required. 45 minute class time.
  • Saturday, 8:30 a.m.: Pilates in the Plaza with Audrey Green-Redier - Classes are open to all skill levels. Classes progress so any level can benefit from the restorative and strength conditioning. Attendees must bring their own mat. 45 minute class time
  • Saturday, 9:30 a.m.: Tai Chi Ch’uan Essential Class with Lowell Johnson - Classes will include the 16-movement form of Tai Chi which is one of slow, big movement and flowing form which can help relieve the physical effects of stress on the body and mind, promotes balance control, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness. No special gear or uniform is required, but participants are encouraged to wear loose comfortable clothing and flat-soled shoes. One hour class time.

These classes are a public activation of Wayne Ferguson Plaza in accordance with recommendations in the “Old Town” Big Move of the Lewisville 2025 vision plan. The plan can be viewed at cityoflewisville.com/Lewisville2025.
